September/october 2003

Our German tour is coming up in october! We will be playing in Aachen, Berlin, Rostock and Braunsweig. We're really looking forward to it!

It was great!!! Aachen was fanastic. Martina and the people from Quicsteps took really good care of us! We stayed the night at their houses! The food and breakfasts were fabulous!! We played at Wild Rover and the audience was great! We played two sets of more than 3 quarters of an our like almost every night. Nice dj to dance on afterwards. And that on a wednesday night! Thanks to the people from the quicksteps and of course Martina!! :-). She organised the gig for us!! Next day Berlin was a really long drive. And then we played at The Thommy Weisbecker Haus. That's a great squat in Berlin. A very big building! We slept there and some of us in a hostel. We were tired and it was a hectic night and really crowded, it was not the best of all nights. We played late at 1.15 and had too stop at 2.00. But of course it was great for us to play in Berlin, we saw some other great bands.
We didn't have much time to see the city cause we went to Rostock the next day after a wunderfull breakfast at the Thommy Weisbecker Haus. We had a great show in Rostock at Interclub and everything was well organised by Arne Wolfgramm. Nice chinese diner, tasted really good, and the place looked great. And the audience was really nice!!! We danced a lot after the gig of again two long sets and had a great night with the people from Rostock!! We thought it couldn't get better, but again the next night was great! We went to Braunschweig and played at the Burundi Black and were well taken care of by Luc and his women who cooked us a great meal and breakfast. Also there played an other band called Dynamo ska, very sympahetic people. One of them just got an accident but they still played. We had a great show after them, the people were again great especially some guys in the front!! And afterwards we celebrated a great week. The next day we went back to Amsterdam :-( We didn't want to go but had a great week to remember! We love Germany and think the audience is great!! So we're coming back for sure!!

In Nijmegen the weather was beautifull. Highlight was
Lalaine who surprised us with a visit!
We asked her to sing with us on stage!!
She came back from Indonesia for a holliday,
now she's back again in Jakarta. Great she came to see us!!

Aug: Artquake was great!

TALENT OF THE WEEK - SINGLE RECORDINGS - INTERNATIONAL COMPILATIONS

We went into the studio and recorded three songs: "dont stop caring", "live now" and "tumbling" In studio Steelworks (Purmerend) with Fred Mantel. He's very nice to work with.

N201 - SKANKING @ SKARNAVAL - GERMANY TOUR

N201 was great, the audience is good there..

Our international highlight was an international SKA REGGAE FESTIVAL in Vaals. with the Dill brothers (B) and the Quicksteps (DL) & the Incredible Derrick (DL). The place Spuugh was sold out and the audience was great! We took advantage of the situation and went on a bandweekend and rented a little house in Vaals. It was great. Although we were a bit worried when Stefan(guitar) had his hand between the door of the bus. Luckily it was his right hand and he could play. We had much funand drinks and didn't see as much of the environment as we wanted :-) But it was a great weekend also thanks to Martina.

We appeard on a compilation cd in Germany from Warschauwer with a good review.. (see reviews)

They want us in Berlin, and we want to go! They asked us in feb, but we can't get the transport costs covered, so they get us a couple of gigs! We met DJ Vogel (in Vaals) and he is working on it!

NEW SONGS

We're working on new material with our new bandmembers Esther, Rogier and Brian!!!!!! Rogier (picture) filled in temporarely but now will stay with Venus Hill.

Had some nice parties and played with the package again which was nice.
